![]() So is the Drunk Elephant SPF the best sunscreen for my skin type and routine, and should you try it, too? Keep reading for all the details.īest for: Most skin types, including sensitive skin. Knowing that about my skin's preferences, I knew I had to try the brand's Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense SPF 30 to see if it lived up to the high expectations. My skin has reacted positively to Drunk Elephant’s products, especially the Protini Polypeptide Cream, which is my all time favorite moisturizer. ![]() I've been hearing a lot about tinted SPFs and thought a sunscreen that gives some coverage could help to simplify my morning routine. Recently, as I became more involved in the beauty industry, I learned more about how not wearing sunscreen every day puts you at risk for sun damage, leading to premature signs of aging, skin cancer, and other concerns. I grew up thinking that sunscreen was only for time spent outdoors in the summer, and the thick consistency of most SPFs made me turn away from using the product on a daily basis. I wear SPF underneath my makeup, so finding one that doesn't affect my foundation and mixes well with the rest of my routine is essential. The best way to see if their stuff is for you is to try samples of it.We put the Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense SPF 30 to the test after receiving a complimentary sample from the brand. Sometimes my skin loves it, other times it hates it. As for the moisturizers, Lala retro is too much for my skin type and Protini is a hit or miss depending on the season. Also not a fan of their umbra tinte sunscreen because it didn’t sit well under my makeup and made the wear time very short. Their cleanser was the worst! It was so drying even for my combo-oily skin, and it doesn’t foam up. I tried their B Hydra and it was too much for my skin when it’s combo-oily and not enough when it’s dry (I travel between Vancouver and Calgary often so my skin switched all the time). As for their other stuff, they’re mainly a miss for me due to skin type targets. My hair lasts longer than usual (I already use sulfate and paraben free hair products) without looking super greasy or full of dandruff. I recently tried a sample of their shampoo and conditioner and I was fairly surprised by the results. If I had to only keep one item from DE, it would be the babyfacial mask though - literally leaves my skin baby butt smooth and helps with acne scarring. I love their Framboos glycolic acid, C firms vitamin c and babyfacial mask because they just work without added fragrance and fillers. Nordstrom - phone cosmetics to place an order.
